The lead service line record your town keeps for the next ten years.
You filed the first inventory. What follows repeats every year until 2037: resolve the unknowns with evidence, update the state’s template, mail and certify the notices, track consent and replacement. Andamento runs that loop for a water system with a two-person crew.
Coming in 2027, starting in Minnesota.
Galvanized pipe counts as downstream of lead until the records show it never was.
- Customer side galvanized, magnet test, photo and GPS
- No connector, seen during curb-stop repair
- System side copper, excavation by the street crew
A year of lead line work, in order
Minnesota’s cycle, as Andamento will run it. Each state gets its own template, letters and dates.
- SpringImport the pre-filled template MDH sends you. Every change is shown before it is applied.
- Field seasonResolve unknowns on a phone that works in a basement with no signal. The scratch-and-magnet test is guided step by step; each finding keeps its photo and location.
- By JulyReturn the template exactly as MDH sent it, headings and tabs untouched, with your updates filled in.
- By September 30Send notices to every lead, galvanized and unknown line. MDH’s own letters, print-ready, with each mailing and return logged.
- By October 10Certify delivery to the state. The packet is assembled from the mailing log.
The federal dates ahead
Baseline inventory with connectors, and a replacement plan
First annual package, then every year after
Non-lead validation sampling complete
Lead and galvanized lines under the system’s control replaced
Dates as the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements stand today. Andamento keeps deadlines as settings, so a court ruling or a state change updates your calendar without new software.
Made for the people who do the work
Nobody needs GIS skills, a training course or an implementation project.
Operators
- A field app that saves every finding on the phone first and never loses one
- Tells you what to check at each stop and records what you saw
- Today’s list of addresses, set up by the office
Clerks
- The year’s deadlines as a checklist, overdue items first
- A notice run that produces the letters and the certification
- Records the next clerk can find, kept for twelve years
Residents
- A link or QR code on their notice, no account needed
- Two minutes to photograph their pipe where it enters the house
- Plain words about who pays; in Minnesota, grants cover the private side
Consulting engineers
- One login across every client system, free
- Bulk import and evidence capture during potholing
- A hand-off the town keeps using after the engagement ends
How Andamento keeps the record sound
Your state’s own files
Andamento imports and exports your state’s template exactly, and uses the state’s own letter wording. A file the state has to fix is treated as our most serious bug.
Evidence, not edits
A classification follows from recorded evidence: who saw what, where, how and when. Findings are never overwritten, so the history stands up to review.
Works without signal
Field work is saved on the phone and sent when a connection returns. A rejected entry stays visible until someone deals with it.
Kept for a decade
Notices, photos and inventory snapshots are kept for the retention your state requires, and you can export everything at any time.
What’s included
The inventory, evidence and notices first, because those duties hold whatever happens to the rule. Each later piece arrives ahead of the deadline that needs it.
For the 2027 cycle
Inventory, evidence and notices
- Two-sided service line inventory with connector and upstream history
- Classification under your state’s rules, with the evidence behind each line
- Offline field app with photos, location and the guided material test
- State template import and export, unchanged in format
- Frozen inventory versions, so every submission cites exactly what was sent
- Customer notices, mailing log, returns and the certification packet
- Resident photo submissions, reviewed by staff before they count
- Compliance calendar with your state’s dates
Ahead of the deadlines
Replacement and the rule’s later requirements
- Replacement plan builder covering the rule’s ten elements
- Consent log against the four attempts, two methods test, with ownership-change reminders
- Replacement tracking per line: full, partial and connector, with filters and follow-up samples
- The January 30 annual package, with address-level lists
- Validation sample: the pool, a recorded random draw, results and the report
- Address lists and counts for state funding applications
- A combined view for rural water associations and circuit riders
Priced for the water budget
The last round of dedicated federal lead funding is being awarded now, so Andamento is priced to be paid from the water fund’s operating budget. Prices are being set with our pilot systems.
- Annual and cancelable; no multi-year lock-in
- Unlimited users, for seasonal staff and contract operators
- Your state’s file imported for you at the start
- Free workspace for consulting engineers
- Optional printing and mailing, billed per notice
Pilot the 2027 cycle with us
We’re looking for a few Minnesota water systems, and the engineering firms that work with them, to run the spring template, the field season and the September notices through Andamento. Tell us about your system and where your inventory stands.
